- Smaller class sizes (18:1 Student to Teacher ratio)
- A supportive and nurturing environment where failing is not an option, and class time is used to complete assignments.
- Block scheduling - 80 minute classes so students can get the attention they need to be successful
- Students finish their work in class and are not assigned homework as a regular part of instruction during their seventh grade year. Homework is then reintroduced in the early part of the eighth grade year.
- Specific instruction in study skills and organization strategies.
- Creative, clear, and experienced classroom instruction
- A focus on academics, social skills, and personal achievement.
